Yes, this is random! But kind of amazing, that is, if you like waffles! I might have to break my waffle iron out to participate in the celebration! I found this piece of information out by watching Live with Kelly and Ryan this morning, and they were making all sorts of different types of waffles, some which I have never thought about doing but may have to at some point in life! They made a Mac n’ Cheese waffle, yum, a Tater Tot waffle, yum, a Chicken Nugget waffle, which I could do without. The idea is great, Chicken and Waffles, but I feel like I was turned off when I thought that they might have blended the chicken nuggets into the batter, and now I just don’t want it. Then of course they made a regular waffle, yum. I think today I will just go for the regular waffle if I end up making one. Tell me in the comments what your favorite type of waffle is! I love to hear all the fun ideas!
While we are on the topic of food, I feel like it will be really fun to tell you guys about my Top 7 Favorite Casual Places to Eat in San Diego! And by eat, I mean food, dessert, chai (I am a non-coffee drinker! And a non-avocado eater! I know, I know!), really anything that you can ingest.
This café is on the top of my list for the best Chai I have ever had, cold or hot. It is absolutely amazing, perfect sweetness, perfect creaminess, just perfect. Love, love, love. Not only is the chai amazing, they also have fun food options, which makes it the perfect place to hang out, have a snack (like a panini), and enjoy the awesome décor.
Plaza Donuts & Yogurt
Ok, this place is my absolute favorite donut shop. It is not fancy like The Donut Bar or anything like that. They have normal donuts, and they just know how to make them. My go-to!
The Taco Stand
This place makes some of the best tacos in San Diego! Their tacos are all sooooo good and so are their churros, which come with a delicious dipping sauce. My favorites are Carne Asada and Pollo Asada, nom nom nom.
Surf Side Deli
My hubby just brought me here the other day and I was so excited about how unique of a place it was! They are a deli but have this deli BBQ fusion thing going on. They have a smoker outside, it all smells amazing, and they have all of these fun, unique options. Delish!
I just recently discovered Ramen! Like real Ramen. Of course I have always had Top Ramen and such, but never from a real Ramen place. I feel like Ramen just recently got super popular out here within the last couple of years. Maybe it just got popular with me hahaha all I know is I love it, and this place is great! They make their noodles and you can get extra, which is what I do!
Filippi’s Pizza Grotto
Hand down, my favorite Lasagna. The ambiance is amazing. This is just an all around amazing place, and I love it, and have loved it ever since I moved here. Oh! By the way, it is in Little Italy and they have their own PARKING LOT! This is huge for me!
The Milk Bar
Milkshakes anyone? This place has pretty much any type of milkshake you can think of. I am a vanilla malt type of person, but if you want to get adventurous with your milk shake options, this is the place for you! My hubby even had on that came with a Twinkie inside. Crazy? Yes. Fattening? Yes. Delicious? The hubs gives his approval. This is definitely a fun place for dessert!
This city has so many food options it is absolutely unbelievable. Let me know what your favorites are. I love hearing about it! If you have done a session with me, you have probably heard me ask you about your favorite places to eat. What can I say, I just love food! Also, I am in the search of an AMAZING Philly Cheesesteak place, so send me all of your go-to’s for those as well. Right now, my favorite is at Jersey Mikes, which I love, but I would love to find an awesome local place that isn’t a chain! Nom, nom. I hope you all have an amazing, yummy weekend!
