Quarantining does not mean we can’t get super dooper cute photos are shut down! There are SO many fun things to do at home that make for great photos (and also more activities to the day to keep kiddos busy!) I made a list of a bunch of fun ideas you can do starting right now!
1. Cookie Baking Session
Or really any type of baking sesh! Get out your favorite recipe, put your kiddo in a cute apron and snap away! Don’t be afraid to get messy!
2. Fashion Show in Mom or Dads Clothes
Have your kids pick out some of their favorite outfits from your closet and have them put on a fashion show! I always think oversized clothes and shoes are the cutest on little ones!
3. Comfy, Fluffy Bed Photos
Step 1: Make your bed super comfy looking, lots of pillows and blankets (I always like white bedding)
Step 2: Everyone jump on the bed, snap lots of action shots!
Step 3: Quick everyone off the bed super quick and then throw the kids back into the super fluffy comfy bed! Take photos from above (don’t be afraid to stand on the bed!) Get any fur babies in on this one too!
Step 4: Pillow fight! Naturally more snapping of photos!
4. Kiddos playing with their favorite toys
Get out toys, a puzzle, anything your little one loves to play with, set it up on the floor or on the kitchen table and move around them taking lots of pics!
5. Bath Time in the Sink!
This works best with younger kiddos! Fill up your kitchen sink, put some fruit or flowers in it and take photos from straight on, above, from the side, just try a bunch of different angles! For older kiddos, just switch the prompt into the bath and throw some fun bath toys in there!
6. Peek a Boo
Peek a boo photos are sooo stinking cute! I think it would be fun to lay on the floor and have your kids play peek a book with the camera!
7. Dance Break
Throw on a favorite song and have a dance session! Take turns documenting!
8. Workout Time!
When I was little my mom always did leg lifts with me and it was so much fun! I would absolutely love to have a picture of us doing that!
9. Get a bouquet of flowers and get creative!
There are so many fun photos you can get with flowers! Have your kids peek through the flowers, through them in the air, hold them in a bunch of different ways, so many fun ideas! My favorite place to get flowers is Trader Joes! They have a great selection and great prices!
10. Photos through the window
I looovee a good photo through a glass window! I love how you can see the reflections in the glass! Have your little one hang out next to a sliding glass door or window and take photos from the outside in! You could also take photos of a lot of the previous prompts from outside if you want to try something different!
You are going to get soooo many cute photos of your family!! Use your phone, a polaroid camera, a disposable camera, a digital camera, literally whatever you have! Have a ton of fun snapping away!
Below are a few more fun resources in case you want to take everything a step farther!
